Volunteers of AmericaVolunteers of America Alaska is part of a national faith-based nonprofit organization providing a ministry of service to underserved and un-served members of the community. We provide programs for children through senior citizens. Programs with mentoring opportunities include youth in Grandparent's Raising Grandchildren Program, Care Court Program-former substance abusing adults who desire to parent their children and teens in residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment programs.

Nine Star Education & Employment ServicesNine Star Education & Employment Services through our Youth Services division offers educational & employment opportunities for Anchorages youth (with a primary focus on at-risk youth) to help them transition successfully to adult life. Services include High School completion, GEDs, tutoring support, budgeting, life skills workshops, employment readiness, occupational skills training, job development, coaching, and paid work activities.
